Outcome matters more than process. I'd rather put something real in front of people, find where it breaks down, and fix it than debate the ideal solution in the abstract. The best compliment a product can get isn't that it's beautiful. It's the one you never hear, because the tool just worked and someone got what they came for. Get that right and there's room for everything else: polish, craft, the small moments of delight I genuinely love. They just don't substitute for it.
